Day 129-149
Miles Traveled: 0
Total Miles Traveled: 2481

Our visit north was very enjoyable.  We were able to visit with many friends and family over our 2 1/2 week trek.  There is nothing like celebrating the holidays with the ones you love!  The trip did leave us feeling just a little bit exhausted (an understatement).  But, what would one expect after traveling over 2700 miles through 6 states, staying in 2 hotels and 5 homes, and sleeping in 7 different beds.  Whew!!  And, we did all that in just 18 days.

On Sunday, December 28th, we arrived back at "Seahorse" with enough time to unload the car, grab a bite to eat, and go to bed.  Monday was spent putting away all the belongings we took with us on the trip and some new ones we brought back with us, compliments of our loving family.  Angie was able to find a place for all of the new items.  We were also able to see what Santa had given "Seahorse" while we were gone.  She must have been very good this year, because Santa was very generous to her.  She was sporting a new Raymarine A-95 Chart Plotter and Raymarine HD Color Radar.  She can't wait to get cruising and put them to work.

Tuesday we had to go shopping.  We had emptied the fridge and cabinets before we left and needed to get food for our New Year's Eve and New Years Day festivities.  Wednesday morning "Seahorse" got her bottom cleaned.  When boats are in salt water, barnacles can build up on the bottom and destroy the gel coat or clog up intakes.  Divers have to go in the water and scrape away the any build up of these organisms.  This has to be done about once a month.  Wednesday afternoon we continued to finish up our errands while still having the rental car and also did some other "boat jobs".

We were able to finish up in time to have a nice New Years Eve dinner.  We kept it simple and had steaks and sweet potatoes with leftover Christmas cookies for dessert.  It was yummy!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!  We can't wait to see what is in store for us in 2015!!!
