Tuesday some friends from the past came for a visit.  We haven't seen these couples since 2007, and, who would have guessed we'd meet up again in Fort Myers, FL.  We took Jeff and Barney (owners of a Ford dealership) and their wives Karen and Jennie to (where else) Ford's Garage restaurant.  We had a wonderful time catching up on each others lives - a lot has happened over the past 7 years.

Tuesday evening was our last dinner with Robert and Susan of "Ellie 'C' ".  They were making a trip back up north and would not return until after our planned departure from Fort Myers.  We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them and having them as dock neighbors.

Wednesday was a hot and sunny day with a cool tropical breeze.  Spring seemed to have arrived in Fort Myers over the past week.  The flowers, shrubs, and trees were having more blooms and the cooler days would not last long.
Ford's Garage restaurant was celebrating their 3rd year anniversary with an outdoor cookout.  Free draft beer and $3 cheeseburgers were available.  In addition, the Fort Myers Model A Car Club had several Model A Fords on display.  And, there was entertainment with live music.  So, we returned to this great establishment for dinner and to enjoy the food and festivities.

Ford's Garage was one of our favorite restaurants in downtown Fort Myers.  We most enjoyed the Model T hanging over the bar.  When the bar staff would get a tip, they would blow a horn and smoke would come out the back of the vehicle.

All guests that we took to this restaurant were encouraged to visit the bathroom and here is why.

  1. I am sure they will miss your business when you leave! Glad the warm weather has finally arrived for you. We will be cruising north to Miami this weekend.
