Day 33-34

Saturday morning and afternoon were spent doing laundry, getting groceries, and having our first "Looper" haircuts. We were both lucky and found a hair salon and barber shop (which Dan said had old porcelain barber chairs) just a short distance from the laundromat. Our first "Looper cuts" were painless and acceptable - couldn't have hoped for better. We hoped they all would go this way. These trips would not have been possible without the help of Steve (Dan's old high school classmate) and Sara. They allowed us to use their vehicle to get to these locations.

Saturday evening we were invited to dinner with Steve and Sara and their boating buddies, Larry and Karin and Joe. The food was delicious and the company even better.
Sunday brought some friends, Howard and Kim, that are from our home port at Holiday Point Marina on the Ohio River. They were in town visiting family and took time to stop in for a visit. Being bad "bloggers", we forgot to take a picture with them, so here is an older picture so that they don't feel left out of our blog.

Dan spent the afternoon cleaning the boat. It was really dirty and now is "shiny bright" clean. That will probably last all of one day, but it has to be done. Angie spent the afternoon researching and planning the trip for the next week. We make a tentative plan for about 1 week, but sometimes, due to weather or recommendations from locals, the plans will change. But, at least we have some idea of what we will be doing and where we will be going. We went to dinner at the Buzzard Rock Cafe and finished the evening visiting again with Steve and Sara. Thanks to them for making our stay at Buzzard Rock Marina exceptional !!
