Day 28
Miles Traveled: 48
Total Miles Traveled: 759

We entered Cheatham "Lake" on the Cumberland River after locking through Cheathem Lock and Dam.  This "lake" is not like Barkley Lake.  There are no large expanses of water, just a narrow river.

We stopped at the Riverview Restaurant and had lunch.  The locals told us they had the best catfish in Tennessee.  Well, we haven't had a lot of catfish dinners in Tennessee, but this one was extremely tasty.  The hush puppies were also excellent.

The scenery along this section was a mix of high bluffs and flat farmland.  Sydney Bluff was located just upriver from the restaurant.

We finished our cruising day at Rock Harbor Marina which is located about 16 miles downriver from downtown Nashville.  We had planned on staying at the city docks in downtown Nashville, but they did not have any slips available and we were advised by several locals that security could be an issue at this marina.
