Day 342
Miles Traveled: 72
Total Miles Traveled: 5096

As we left Kingston, Ontario we entered the St. Lawrence River (the opposite end the we were on previously).  This took us to the North Channel which is the upper section of Lake Ontario.  Next we entered Adolphus Reach and then the Long Reach which carried us to the Bay of Quinte (pronounced Kwin-tey).  The channel and reaches were narrower.  Once we reached the bay it was more like a large lake.

The Bay of Quinte brought us to the Trent River and off of Lake Ontario.  Our final destination for the day was Trenton, Ontario.  We stayed at the Fraser Park Marina which is located next to a nice small park.  "Loopers" find this a great place to stop before beginning the Trent Severn Waterway.  Many are just now entering Canada after doing the Erie and Oswego Canals.  Upon our arrival there were already six other "Loopers" present - "Always Home", "Nearly Perfect", "Spirit", "Spirit Journey",  "Aunt Aggie", and "Gypsea" (gold looper).

After securing our lines, we took a quick walk around the town.  The most interesting find was the old Clock Tower that was built in 1888.  It used to be a part of the old post office.

Dinner was leftover poutine followed by some ice cream sold on site at the marina.  We spent the rest of the evening doing trip planning for the upcoming days.
