Day 224-225
Miles Traveled on Tuesday: 55
Total Miles Traveled: 2870
Monday we walked over to the beach side of the town and had lunch. We spent the afternoon relaxing on the beach watching the surf hit the sand. It was a beautiful sunny day with a mild breeze. We took advantage of the free city transportation and rode the bus back to the marina. After relaxing the rest of the afternoon, we enjoyed dinner and a quiet evening aboard "Seahorse".

Tuesday was a travel day. We continued along the Atlantic ICW on the Indian River. There were times where the river was more narrow and other times it was wider. In most all cases, the channel was still fairly small.

On previous travel days, we had seen dolphins in the distance, but rarely did they decide to travel alongside. Dan tried a new trick. We usually cruise at about 1400 rpm, which moves us along at about 7.5 to 8 mph. Today when he noticed dolphins nearby, he increased the rpm's to over 1600. This higher rpm created an enticing speed and wake for these great creatures. Twice we had dolphins jumping and playing in our stern wake.

We arrived at Cocoa Village Marina in Cocoa, FL late afternoon. We were surprised by seeing Dave and Diane of "Opus V" on the dock just across from ours. We initially met them at Legacy Harbour Marina in Fort Myers, FL. We went to dinner at the famous Ryan's Pizza and got to catch up on where they have been cruising and the adventures they have had since leaving Fort Myers.

After a wonderful day on the water, spending the evening with these two wonderful people was a great way to end the day.
