On a brighter note, we officially named the dinghy "Puffer Fish". All credit goes to Karrie for coming up with both the name and applying it on the boat. It looks great!
Thanks Karrie! |
Two thumbs up! |
No boat would be complete without the American Flag which is now proudly flying off the stern of Seahorse.
We are ready for departure, but yet one more delay - RAIN, RAIN, RAIN. We were hoping to have left port on Monday June 2nd, but the above mentioned repairs postponed us until Wed June 4th. Bad weather has delayed us yet another day. We are hopeful to leave tomorrow, Thurs June 5th, if the river is navigable after all the rain. Keep your fingers crossed.
As Dan has said to Angie many times, "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain." We've been trying to do a lot of dancing and all of our boating friends have been helping us to do this - You all know who you are. Thanks to all who have supported us the past week.
We hope the next post will be from an anchorage on the river.
Hopefully you have been able to get underway on your Great Loop journey today. BTW, the Kato davits look great!
